The SKoop, was born in May 2020 during the global Coronavirus pandemic.
Andy McAnally of McA Fitness & Events had a forced break in business due to lockdown and could see that many other local businesses and entrepreneurs were in a similar boat. Andy had spent his formative years studying radio production and decided to put his skills to use and set up this podcast to provide a voice to local business owners like himself.
As a former Personal Trainer, Andy has a passion for helping people and hopes that with the SKoop, he can do just that. The idea of this podcast is that it belongs to you, the local community. An opportunity to showcase your business, the people and the stories that make it thrive, as well as to keep residents informed about what is going on in the area, what is available to them that they may not have been aware of.
Andy has lived his whole life in SK7 and SK8 and cannot see a life anywhere else. Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme and surrounding villages are about more than just bars, restaurants and hairdressers, they are filled with people, community and stories. The SKoop hopes to broadcast each and everyone over the coming weeks, months and years.
